volunteering with groundwork

We owe much of our charity's success to the support of volunteers over a wide range of projects, from working on healthy food projects and allotments to setting up nearly a dozen Walking for Health groups. Hours are flexible and travel costs will be reimbursed. But what are the benefits for people who volunteer with us? We think that we offer social contact, a chance to try out something new under guidance of experienced people and, above all, a sense ofsatisfaction of helping your local community and the enviuronmemnt. On occasions, volunteers have also become employees using the new skills and knowledge gained during their time as a volunteer.

You can find answers to some of the questions you may have about volunteering on our FAQ page.

If you would like to volunteer, you can download a pack containing an Application Form and details of the Trust's Volunteer Policy from here.

We cover a large geographical area so are sure to be doing something in your neighbourhood if you live in or very close to Derbyshire. The following map will help you decide which area(s) you are interested in.

Then, on the map below just click on the white name of the area for which you'd like to see more details.

There are also opportunities for one-day or very short period volunteering through our "What's On" page. Why not take a look and see if something catches your eye.
