Business Services Montage

Much of our work with businesses is achieved through our Green Business Navigator programme. This programme, supported by Derby & Derbyshire Economic Partnership (DDEP) and Envirowise, is a free programme of comprehensive, professional assessment and advice, designed to help develop solutions that increase profitability and reduce environmental impacts.

Green Business Navigator comprises 3 products:

EXTERNAL SITE MANAGEMENT: (Currently available only in South Derbyshire)

providing safe and attractive premises through

1.joint visit undertaken by representatives of Derbyshire Business Against Crime, Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, and Groundwork Derby & Derbyshire to advise companies on security, arson prevention, and appearance of their external sites
2. possibility to apply for a grant to help finance the cost of the recommended works
3. possibility to assist with planning application

HEALTH & SAFETY AND
ENVIRONMENTAL LIABILITY: (Currently available only in South Derbyshire)

reducing your risk of Health & Safety
and environmental liability by

1. site visit undertaken by a specialist to identify potential savings
2. provision of a set of recommendations to help companies prioritise areas which need to be improved
3. provision of on-going support through regular club meetings, which enable business participants to develop common solutions and to implement the recommendations
4. networking opportunities with other businesses and agencies

WASTE & ENERGY REDUCTION:

improve your profitability through
waste and energy management by

1. up to one-day site visit undertaken by an approved and experienced assessor
2. provision of an assessment report, which summarises the findings of the audit and provides recommendations to help tackle the legal issues
3. provision of on-going support through regular club meetings, which enable the business participants to improve their level of compliance
4. recognition provided to every member
5. networking opportunities with other businesses and agencies
